Take Back The Night
at
Cal State LA
will be held on Tuesday, April 19 from 6 to 10 pm in the Student Housing
Quad and Lounge. I go on at 6:30. Also appearring are: Go Betty Go, Talia
Bettcher (a professor and performance artist performing on transgender
violence), Nafeesa Monroe, and a keynote address by Olga Trujillo, a sexual
assault survivor, and more. Community organizations will be there as well.

The WorldFest Poetry Festival
consists of a series of Southern California poetry events taking place
throughout 2004 and early 2005, culminating in a day-long festival of spoken
word at the WorldFest 2005 Earth Day Festival on April 17, 2005. There are
TONS of great poets (like MINDY NETTIFEE, MARIE LECREVAIN, STEVE RAMIREZ,
etc etc etc)plus there's like 35 bands and tons of other stuff goin' on. I
mean, its Earth Day, ya know? And its only 5 BUX. 10 am to 6:30 pm, at the
beautiful outdoor setting of Woodley Park in Van Nuys. I am on about 1 pm. I
