After an intense slam season culminating in finals on May 5th, a slam team has emerged for Long Beach. Rachel couldn't be happier to be featuring at one of her favorite second homes, Long Beach's BIG DAMN POETRY SLAM! (she was the January winner of the Semifinals...stay tuned for info on the June Finals) Slammaster VICTOR INFANTE and the gang have made her part of their poetic family, and she will be sharing her words on SUNDAY, MARCH 4th. The Slam is at THE QUE SERA (562 599 6170), 1923 EAST 7TH STREET (Corner of Cherry Street) and start at 3PM. There is an open mic, AND an open slam, so come on down and sign up! This event is FREE, and happens each and every Sunday, by the way. The last Sunday of each month is a semifinal.
